Fiber Arts Studio in Vermont

Brigid’s Farm is home to Jane Woodhouse – weaver, spinner and natural dyer.

In 1991, Jane earned an MFA from San Francisco State University with a concentration in textiles. Her mail order business and on-farm studio specialize in natural dyes. She teaches regularly in her studio but travels several times a year to teach at festivals (including the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival, NY Sheep and Wool Festival, The Gathering, Vermont Technical College, and most recently at PlyAway 3 in Kansas City) for guilds and other venues. Jane is a contributing author to Ply Magazine and Spin-Off Magazine. Jane’s other interests include spinning and knitting, ethnic textiles and surface design techniques on hand woven fabrics.
